Inspirational Story Behind the Team's Project for the First Lego League Competition
Participating in the First Lego League (FLL) competition, our team faced the dual challenge of executing a robot run and developing an innovation project.
The theme of this year's challenges was: "What is your hobby, and how can you include more people in it?"
Jair, one of our trio and an avid chess player, became the heart of our story. Jair's mother, who is blind, inspired our team deeply. Inspired by Jair’s love for playing chess and how much he wished to share this passion with his mom. This personal connection sparked a powerful idea within our team: to make chess accessible to the visually impaired.
Determined to help Jair and his mother enjoy chess together, we embarked on a mission to create a Braille chessboard.
This innovative project was not just about a game; it was about bringing joy and inclusivity into their lives and the lives of many others facing similar challenges. Our Braille chessboard became the embodiment of our collective vision, merging technology, empathy, and creativity to transform a simple hobby into a beacon of hope and accessibility.
